azsamsancho Posted June 12, 2010 Posted June 12, 2010 Have any of you bought/tried this kit? It is available in walmart for 10 bucks. I am tempted to buy it because i need worms and the price is very good. Not sure if the worms are good and if they will catch bass tho. Quote
endless Posted June 12, 2010 Posted June 12, 2010 I don't know anything about them but if have a Gander Mountain near by than I would go and buy their brand. They got their stick worms for 10 bucks pack of 30. I hear their good. I have their Green Pumpkin Cores that I will try tomorrow. Quote
Super User SoFlaBassAddict Posted June 12, 2010 Super User Posted June 12, 2010 The lucky strike worms are just awful. I bought a couple of the finesse kits for my kids to mess around with. They're stiff as all hell. Kind of defeats the purpose of a "soft" plastic. 1 Quote
NateFollmer Posted June 12, 2010 Posted June 12, 2010 I never used that worm kit, but the ring worm kit is pretty good. Its only 4 dollars so you can't beat it. There 4 inch curly tail worms are my favorite for finesse fishing. I also tried there 4 dollar craw kit and its produced some good smallies. Edit: @SoFlaBassAddict - get some worm oil from one of the tackle making sites (like www.bearsbaits.com or lurecraft.com) or even some gulp spray scent. Toss those worms in either and let them in a few days. They will soften right up. Quote
Super User iceintheveins Posted June 12, 2010 Super User Posted June 12, 2010 I bought the kit a while back and the worms are awesome, with great curly tail action. I have been catching lots of bigger bass on them lately, especially the green pumpkin. Very, very worth while. The centipedes, lizards, soft jerkbaits, and razor worms are awesome too. The jogger worm, their version of the senko, is rather stiff but it's durable and still catches em. Quote

Yeah, I hear their other kits are pretty decent, so I think I will buy it. Quote
Super User iceintheveins Posted June 13, 2010 Super User Posted June 13, 2010 The plastic worms have caught the most fish for me, but the centipede is pretty lethal on a carolina rig. Quote
Super User grimlin Posted June 13, 2010 Super User Posted June 13, 2010 They are awesome.....Jogger worms and french fry are my favorites. Quote
