Heading down to Ft. Myers in a couple weeks and wanted to schedule a guided trip to Okeechobee one day. The closest shot from Ft. Myers will be Clewiston. I've seen Roland Martin Marina, but wanted to know if there were any guides I should seek out by name.

I went out of the city of Okeechobee last year and had a great time. I know it's off-season now, but thought I'd try it anyway.

Any help is appreciated. Thanks!

It is going off on the lake right now. One of the most popular and busiest guides on the lake is Capt. Steve McDaniels. He works out of Rolands. Another good one is Capt. Mark Shepard and Brett Isackson who work for BassOnline. I know there are alot of guides up on the lake but theses guys are consistantly putting clients on good fish in all weather and seasonal conditions.

Thanks for the advice! I know it won't be like going in February, but nothing beats getting out there.

It's Steve Daniels BTW but heck,  Captain Shane's been whacking them pretty good up there.

I am going on vacation to Sanibel Island last week in June and thinking about going over to Okeechobee.  So this thread is helpful to me as well.  How is the bite this time of year?  Thanks for your input.
