superduperdan Posted June 6, 2010 Posted June 6, 2010 I had to vote other......Revenge has become my spinnerbait of choice Quote
Big Tom Posted June 6, 2010 Posted June 6, 2010 Revenge makes an awesome spinnerbait. I really like War Eagle more than anything else. I think the last time this poll was done, Strike King got the most votes. Quote
tnbassfisher Posted June 6, 2010 Posted June 6, 2010 I voted Strike King. But I'm definitely not married to them when it comes to spinnerbaits. Quote
backwater4 Posted June 6, 2010 Posted June 6, 2010 I like Stanley Wedges, but I had a guy make me some custom 3 blades that I put my own skirt on and they're working great. Quote
Texas10Man Posted June 6, 2010 Posted June 6, 2010 Strike King. KVD spinnerbaits and KVD scorchers from Bass Pro. Quote
Super User eyedabassman Posted June 6, 2010 Super User Posted June 6, 2010 I have fished other spinnerbaits and then I did order some of the Northstar spinnerbaits and the NorthStar is all I fish from now on! Everything about this spinnerbait is top of the line and price is great too! And there jigs are wright there too! Quote
Super User A-Jay Posted June 6, 2010 Super User Posted June 6, 2010 I checked "other" Currently I'm throwing several brands in different situations, shallow, deep and burning on top. But here's my concern. Many brands do use "quality components". This routinely means a good hook, a study s/s wire frame and a easy spin ball bearing swivel with a good blades(s). Where there seems to be a problem is THE SPLIT RINGS. So many times they are very fine wire which part way to easily. I fish allot at night and fish often times strike at the blades. Well I have a large collection of "Blade-less Baits" I've also had fish jump shake their heads and throw the blades off, often times the swivel goes with it depending on which split ring parts. I've reverted to upgrading all the split rings myself which is a bit labor intensive. The next step is to just buy the components and make my own. There are a few new brands out, like Northstar, that I have yet to try and am planning to do so. I'm hoping for the best. 8-) A-Jay Quote
BassThumb Posted June 6, 2010 Posted June 6, 2010 Secret Weapon Lures Pro Assassinator. Expensive, but worth it. I have yet to find a spinnerbait that makes it thru weeds as cleanly. Quote
Steve1357 Posted June 6, 2010 Posted June 6, 2010 Walmart spinnerbaits for a buck or anything at Academy on sale for 88c. Quote
Super User Crestliner2008 Posted June 6, 2010 Super User Posted June 6, 2010 I chose "other" - Fleck being my spinnerbait of choice. Has been for 30+ years - and still going strong. Quote
1inStripes Posted June 6, 2010 Posted June 6, 2010 War Eagle. I am planning on getting some Rattleheads to try. Quote
Super User iceintheveins Posted June 6, 2010 Super User Posted June 6, 2010 Pepper Hawg, from pepper custom baits! Quote
Primus Posted June 7, 2010 Posted June 7, 2010 S.O.B. Mini Me is my favorite, I also like War Eagle & Strike King. Quote
Ojurb Posted June 7, 2010 Posted June 7, 2010 this might seem funny but y fave is the $1 spinner baits from walmart, they are cheap and work well, caguth lots of fish with the white and yellow with red eye, with 1 colorado and 1 leaf blade, i put a #6 red treble hook as a "trailer" they catch fish and are cheap enough that i dont mind trwoing them in weedier areas with out to much worry about lossing it, yet, i bought 10 of them 6 months ago and have only lost 1 Quote
TourPT Posted June 7, 2010 Posted June 7, 2010 Been using Hildebrandt Spinnerbaits for at least 15 years now and hopefully will be using them for the next 15 years. Quote
Super User Bankbeater Posted June 7, 2010 Super User Posted June 7, 2010 I use a lot of Strike King and BPS, but I don't think that I really have a favorite brand. Quote
Super User Jigfishn10 Posted June 7, 2010 Super User Posted June 7, 2010 Checked "other", I make and use my own. I do, however, like Strike King Quote
