Revival Posted May 26, 2013 Author Posted May 26, 2013 Awesome info guys! Wow the color selection for the Paca craws are overwhelming...haha. Do you guys usually rig it with a jighead? Ill be fishing whatever crayfish i end up getting from shore so im just trying to figure out what my best option is. Also are you guys using these craws as trailers or by itself? Quote
Bjreg3 Posted May 26, 2013 Posted May 26, 2013 My favorite is the confidence bait finesse craw followed by the Yum F2 craw papi Quote
annexation Posted May 26, 2013 Posted May 26, 2013 Right on. I have a bunch of craws zoom yamamoto etc but clean up with the gizit tube. I've been taking 1/8-1/4 bell shaped weight jamming them in the nose and t rigging and its been very effective and generally snag less and weedless. Same here! It helps a lot in the rocky river I throw tubes in; I lose them a lot less rigging them this way than with traditional tube inserts. Lube up a little egg shaped sinker with some megastrike, slide it up in there then t-rig with a 1/0 round bend. Proceed to annihilate smallies. Quote
BenB54 Posted May 26, 2013 Posted May 26, 2013 Big bite yodaddy,I also like the missile baits d bomb. Quote

WhiteRockFisherman Posted May 26, 2013 Posted May 26, 2013 I've noticed that the vast majority of soft plastic craw imitators sink rather quickly. The YUM F2 Craw Papi (my fav), however, floats, which slows down the fall. Just another factor to consider when choosing a craw/creature. Quote
trupp30 Posted May 26, 2013 Posted May 26, 2013 Strike King Rage Craw and the Berkley Havoc Pit Boss. Quote
BigMoneyGrip Posted June 19, 2013 Posted June 19, 2013 Zman Crawdadz, green pumpkin/orange claws rage rigged with some crawfish Megastrike. I bet you could catch every fish in the lake on one bait. 1 Quote
DaveT63 Posted June 19, 2013 Posted June 19, 2013 Rage Craws are my favorite true craw. I haven't seen it mentioned yet, but I really like the Berkley Chigger Craw. I also love the Reaction Innovation Sweet Beaver. Quote
Super User MCS Posted June 19, 2013 Super User Posted June 19, 2013 Zoom ultra vibe speed craw in bullfrog and the Culprit Incredicraw in watermelon seed. Quote
river-rat Posted June 19, 2013 Posted June 19, 2013 I agree with everyone on the Rage Craw and Netbait Paca Craw -- but I still have a thing for the Gene Larew 4" and 6" Salt Craw. Doesn't matter if used on Texas rig, Jika rig, or as a jig trailer. Quote
mnbassman23 Posted June 19, 2013 Posted June 19, 2013 As mentioned above Chigger craw, Paca craw, Rage craw, and Pit Boss are all great craw imitators. One other lure that is way under used imo is the Havoc Craw Fatty. That thing is a big fish slayer for me. Quote
grizzgreen18 Posted June 20, 2013 Posted June 20, 2013 finally got me a pack of rage craws and i love them on my swim jigs...smashed a local pond last weekend with that combo never had to switch poles i like berkleys chigger craws and powerteam craws as well especially with the hog tonic Quote
jiggz125 Posted August 23, 2013 Posted August 23, 2013 Are there any baits that are similar to Fat Ikas? I cannot find them locally and want some for this weekend. I dont want to order off ebay/online. Thanks for the help. Quote

BadBassWV Posted August 23, 2013 Posted August 23, 2013 Wave Worm Tiki Crawdude. These things flat out have been catching fish lately. Been using them as a jig trailer on my Seibert Jigs. Quote
Super User bigbill Posted August 24, 2013 Super User Posted August 24, 2013 To me my hottest crawfish bait is the Rebel BIG CLAW crawfish crankbait. The only plastic crawfish I have ever tried is the ones that came soaked in hot sauce. I still have them in large and small sizes. These look real down to every detail. Quote

Mccallister25 Posted August 25, 2013 Posted August 25, 2013 Without a doubt, the best is the Rage craw. In my opinion, nothing compares. I also like the Paca craws in bama craw color. Quote
Super User Munkin Posted August 25, 2013 Super User Posted August 25, 2013 Go to *** and select creature bait under soft plastics, you will be set. For me it is about making a bait imitate a crayfish more than the actual bait manufacturer. Look up what color your local crayfish are and buy baits in a similar color. Take those baits and drag or hop them along the bottom and you have your craw imitator you are looking for. If you cannot find out what crayfish are in the area buy some in green pumkin, brown or black to start with. Allen Quote
