I want to add some crayfish/crawdad lures/plastics to my arsenal.  I remember when i was a kid, if we found a live crayfish and used it for bait, we were guaranteed to catch a bass!  I used to like the Zoom crawbugs but when i went to our local Bass Pro shop, i found out they no longer carry them.  I guess i could always order them.  I would also like to try something else.

What are your go to crayfish/crawdad lures / favorite color?

Thanks in advance.

I think the only topic discussed more than this is the Senko.

Try the search for numerous results

Are we only allowed to ask questions that have never been discussed before?  Just because I am new to THIS forum doesnt mean Im new to forums in general.  Of course i did a search but no other thread was specific.  I appreciate the fact that you took the time to respond to this thread yet you didnt feel the need to contribute.

Being a member of different forums over the years this is one of my biggest pet peeves.  You know why?  Because when people down the road search threads and come across one like this instead and it says "try the search" it does nothing for them.  Members ask questions and other members answer to build a database even if its a repetitive topic.  Then again what do i know.

Excellent post. Some guys on here act like overzealous hall monitors when it comes to what's posted or where.

Great way to kill off another member bud!

This is a discussion forum, not a searching forum. While the search forum has got tons of info, if a guy is new and not the best with this site and the Internet, it's kinda daunting.

To the OP, ask away! There is a Senko discussion thread and all new posts get moved there, but everything is fair game.

p.s.   I used Mend It on the Rage Craws and Pit Bosses and they split apart and melted. Has not melted with the Paca Craws..yet

That's how it works. You might want to put the mend-it on the tear, and hold it (the two sides of the tear) together for 15 seconds or so; and let it sit for a couple of minutes. Bait should be as good as new.

is the fat ika really a craw imitator? because yamamoto makes a craw. i got some of the craws but theyve never produced a fish for me.

anyways, i like the rage tail craws myself...

for hard craws, i like the ones made by rebel, the floater/divers....

Don't overlook good old plastic tube baits! Most basic craw presentation there is, and it catches!

Rage Craw, Minda Spear Craw, Lake Fork Craw Tube, Zoom Ultravibe Speed Craw,  there seems to be a good craw produced by almost all Mfg's.

My number one producing craw bait is a Zoom Speed Craw in green pumpkin. If I were forced to pick just one craw bait this would be it. That said I really like Baby Paca Craws and Rage Craws as well.

I've always been a big fan of the Paca chunk on a jig, but I picked up some Havoc Rocket craws this winter and have really been impressed so far this spring.  I really like the antenna action combined with the claws flapping action and they have excellent colors too.

I'm impressed enough that I don't see myself buying Paca's in the future.

The Devil Spear and Pit Boss are not too shabby themselves.

Right on. I have a bunch of craws zoom yamamoto etc but clean up with the gizit tube. I've been taking 1/8-1/4 bell shaped weight jamming them in the nose and t rigging and its been very effective and generally snag less and weedless.
