Super User Tuckahoe Joe Posted May 23, 2013 Super User Posted May 23, 2013 Went to 2 new ponds today. They didn't really pan out as well as I hoped. I was looking at them on Google Maps and they both looked like they had a lot more area for bank fishing. Turns out the only spots that were able to be fished from the bank were the small docks near the boat ramp and the spillway at one of them. Plus the one was in kind of a sketchy neighborhood. Didn't stay there long and don't have much of a desire to go back. The day turned out ok though. All our fish were caught on T-rigged lizards. The wife got a pickerel in the spillway and a smallish bass off the boat ramp but about 20 minutes after arriving I hooked into a nice fat largemouth. The spillway had tons of excellent cover in it. I tossed my lizard up under an overhanging bush and this fish hit it like a ton of bricks. Wasn't expecting a fish like this out of a 10 ft. wide 2.5 ft. deep creek. Quote
