This was one of my Legend Extreme I got out of the Bargain room even though I don't care for rods with half a handle. It was a steel and now less than $235.00 in it and it is now my way, I like it as much as my Elites. I think I like it better than the Elites! I did the 6'10" MXF first to make sure it is what I want, and now I am doing the 7'2" MHM I bought at the same time. I have to hand it to Kevin and his rod magic, for all the good work he put into the modification of the full cork handle, and balancing it. The only thing I don't care for is the looks of the recoil guides, but I have to say I do think they are a great aid to the sensitivity of the rod, and nothings lighter,,,,,,just don't care for the look._MG_6276-II_zpse8a8ce2d.jpg_MG_6272-II_zpsd92da62e.jpg_MG_6275_zps3536bbd5.jpg

To finish it we mounted the Team Lew's Gold 7.1:1 reel and balanced it exactly where I wanted it, and capped the butt. It holds so sweet and os so sensative you can feel em comm'n!!

On the 7'2" MHM I was going to go with a little more mass in the handle but am so happy with the way this one turned out and after fishing it the weekend, I am thinking of doing them pretty much the same. I am going to wait a week or two before I make the final decision. But I am really happy with the performance of this rod, it is going to be a great finesse rod and will be great in deeper water for Smallies and Walleye with small jigs, plastics and most finesse tactics.

That is my favorite blank for big smallies. It handles the Waldo's, lakers & steeliness as well. Nice looking handle too.
