Looking at the stats seems to be equal to shimano clarus and citica but green like Curado and compre. Any one use these? Good or junk?

I suck at flipping hence my longest BC rod is 7'0. So wanna grab something cheap to practice with.

I have had 2 extreme reels.  One broke about a year and a half after i bought it, the other has been around for about 3 years.  They are not bad reels.  Pretty smooth.  I dont use mine a whole lot, but when I do use it, its very solid and works pretty well.  Most everyone on here will tell you to go with the Pro Quailifier, but I would not shy away from the extreme if it feels good in your hands. not a bad reel. As for the Extreme Rods, I love them.  I have quite a few Extreme Rods and I am considering getting another

Thanks bro, don't need any reels just the rod. Bass pro has them on sale for either 60 or 70.. Was thinking about ordering one. Just don't want to break the bank on something to practice on but don't want crap either.

If you look around, you can find a Veritas for around that price.

extreme Rods don't get alot of mention on here. When mentioning rods everyone will say Carbonlite. I love my Extreme Rods. I have had one for about 10 years so far and its still going strong for me! I would say, go for it!

I have an Extreme casting and a Spinning.  Had both for about 6 years.  Very pleased!

With that being said, I rarely use them anymore since I have gone "crazy" buying other rods just to try them out.

They are now relegated to my brother using them when he comes with me.  He loves them!   I think I paid about $70 also, and would STILL consider them a good buy.

I definitely prefer the Extremes I have to the Powel Diesel.   And I know all of the raves about the *** 13 and I prefer the Extreme even over it....but that's only because my hand doesn't fit the short tapered grip well.

I feel it is a real "sleeper" of a rod.

I noticed that too.  My brother and I together have put 4 Extreme rods through a pretty abusive time.  3 Spinning and 1 Casting.  Besides broken guides that were our fault, they have held up to all fresh and salt water applications we have put them through.  Even some slot Snook and fierce Jacks (Jacks make you think you have something huge until you bring it to the surface lol).  Good backbone and decent sensitivity, I would say they are light but my background is with saltwater fishing where weight is not as big of an issue as with bass angling.  I have no experience in Carbonlites but everybody on here says they are good to go for a budget setup.

I do not think you will be disappointed in the Extremes, my brother and I have not been.  I think they are on sale too.  Almost wat to pick up a 7'10" Heavy for flipping but I need to stop buying things.

Just want to practice flipping and pitching. I bought a Fenwick 7' MH for this on sale at Cabelas and I think it's not good for the task. So wanna grab a longer than 7 H. Gonna order the rod tonight I think. Stupid 8 shipping through bass pro even with the free shipping promo.. smh

Placed order this morning, had a problem with the site last night. Looking forward to trying out this rod. Will be my first BPS product. Also ordered some more AbrazX. :)

My dad has had his extreme spinning rod for 10 years. It got shortened down 6" by a car door about 8-9 years ago and he still uses it and out fishes me haha.

This rod is awesome!!!!!!!! I can't believe I've slept on BPS rods for this long. I'm very very impressed. I've never even been to a BPS store for the matter lol. Anyhow paired it with the Curado 201g7 and 30# Sufix Braid. Been practicing flipping in the yard targeting random leaves and my accuracy is pretty decent. Can't wait to attempt it from a boat.

Anyhow my overall opinion is solid build quality, great balance and the power hump grip is really comfortable. I'm impressed!
