Kabar Posted May 21, 2013 Posted May 21, 2013 Started fishing couple years ago, have a few rods....need some advice. Fenwick Smalmouth crankbeit rod with Curado G. Cant make the reel sit tight on my rod (the reel is moving slighty duing retrieve), should I send it to fenwick...it's under warranty. Quote
mr.kagrise Posted May 21, 2013 Posted May 21, 2013 Make a shim for it. Last time I had that problem I cut a small strip from a soda carton. Have stopped using that particular rod, but it worked like a charm while I still used it. I checked the forum and seems like it is a fairly common occurrence with various fixes. Good luck 1 Quote
Solution jherm87 Posted May 21, 2013 Solution Posted May 21, 2013 Maybe put a little electrical tape or gaffers tape around the feet of the reel 1 Quote
Kabar Posted May 21, 2013 Author Posted May 21, 2013 The four layers of electrical tape works great .Thank you. Quote
Delaware Valley Tackle Posted May 21, 2013 Posted May 21, 2013 Teflon plumbing tape works well and there is no adhesive residue to clean off later. 1 Quote
