Hello all,

Just saying hello to all the DFW anglers out there. We are moving to DFW at the end of the month, and was wondering which of the local lakes are good for bass especially from shore. We are leaving S. Florida so I am hoping to have as much luck the DFW as I had in Florida. :)

Welcome to the metro! And you're just in time for summer.... What part of the metro are you moving to?

We are not certain, maybe Frisco or Lewisville area. We are not sure yet.

I'm in north Fort Worth, so idk much about that part of the area, but pretty much everywhere in the metro has an abundance of fishing holes. I'd be happy to show you some spots in my area if you're interested. Good luck with the move!

Welcome to the area.  You'll find that there are some really good lakes in every direction from here.  Ray Roberts, Fork, Texoma, etc.  The down side is that there is very little public land in TX so shore fishing can be a challenge.  There are however, plenty of small ponds that are also very good in the area.  Once you land at your new home, take a look at goggle earth and hunt for those ponds close to home.  Drive by them and see if they are public and if they are, make some casts.    Welcome and good luck!

I will definitely take you up on that. Thank you. :)
