Hey guys, it is time for me to respool my fishing reels. I have one baitcasting reel on a 6'6 medium rod and a spinning reel on a 6'6 medium rod. I currently have 12lb mono on both, but i am not completey happy with it, especially on the bait caster. Keeping in mind that anything light is thrown on the spinning reel, what line do you guys suggest for my bait caster? I fish jigs, spinnerbaits and crankbaits (on the baitcaster) mainly in murky lakes. I am thinking 30lb power pro braid or 12lb yo-zuri hybrid. Any suggestions? Thanks in advance!

I am a firm believer in the Yo-Zuri Hybrid line.  I currently use 12lb on my baitcasters and 6lb on my spinning rod.  I don't think I will be changing them anytime soon!!

I agree that the 12# Yozuri Hybrid is a great choice for your baitcaster.   And.....I think that 10# is even better.  Check out the auctions and see if you can find a bulk roll.

I would NOT choose Yozuri 6# on my spinners.  I tried it and found the line had too much memory.  It was OK but I really wanted more from my spinning rod setup.

Try Sunline Super Natural Mono in 6# on spinner.  Or a 12# braid and a fluoro leader.

Or, if you want to go for the ultimate in MY opinion, the Sunline 6# Finesse FC.  A little pricey but well worth it.  Just use Yozuri for the backing.

Braid, braid and braid ;)

On your spinning reel, I can't think of anything else that is eaiser to maintain, smoother and over all makes the day a good one

Yo-Zuri Ultra Soft is for spinning reels, I have #8 on one of mine and I like it. P-Line Flouroclear is suppose to be good too, very comparable to Yo-Zuri but I can't attest to it as I haven't tried it.

I've had good luck with P-Line CX on spinning reels.

Thanks for the replies guys. I think I will go with the most popular vote, 12lb yo zuri hybrid. Thanks!
