Hi all, I was considering the Villian series rods from Abu garcia. What do you think about those rods? Are there better rods out there at that price point? I would be looking at a 7' medium moderate for cranking and looking at a 7'5+ heavy fast for throwing big baits 3/4 to 2oz. Opinions?

I have the 7'1mhf iv used it for just about everything trying to decided what I like it for. I love it I'd like to get a few more when I get some more money set aside. Some say try are uncomfortable on the hand with that reel seat but I don't find that to be the case at all.

How is the sensitivity?

Pretty good I only have a veritas and some cheap poles to compare it to but it's pretty sensitive I love it.

If they would only get rid of that stupid, uncomfortable aluminum nut, those would be some very fine rods.

I had two Veritas rods, one spinning and one casting. I sold them both because of that nut.

All the Abu rods (Veritas and higher) are nice, the only thing I don't like about any of them is how big the triggers are on them (bait casting rods that is)

I think they're a great rod as well. I just personally don't like EVA and I don't think my small hands and the reel seat go together well. But its nice rod for sure.
