Jake P Posted June 5, 2010 Posted June 5, 2010 I just picked up a M XF finesse spinning rod, it is my first finesse rod. Im curious what baits are considered finesse or what light tackle you use on yours. I'm used to t rigs on a MH baitcaster, never really used spinning equipment before. Quote
I.rar Posted June 5, 2010 Posted June 5, 2010 i throw smaller cranks , small t-rigs and 4" trick sticks. i have some shaky heads ive been meaning to try also.. Quote
RussBert Posted June 5, 2010 Posted June 5, 2010 I throw light T-Rigs and Senko's with my 6'8" M/XF Mojo spinning rod Quote
Super User iceintheveins Posted June 5, 2010 Super User Posted June 5, 2010 I fish quite a few finesse baits. Small cranks, especially #4 or #5 shad raps and risto raps, 4" senkos, 3" tubes or curly tails, centipedes, super fluke juniors, and 4" worms, especially power worms or ring worms. I will fish these lures on 6 to 8 pound test and medium spinning gear. Quote
Super User Gone_Phishin Posted June 5, 2010 Super User Posted June 5, 2010 1/4oz finesse jigs, shakey heads, whacky finesse worms, and light t-rigs. Quote
gobig Posted June 5, 2010 Posted June 5, 2010 I think finesse is better defined as a technique then its is as a specific bait or rig. The size of the bait does not define the technique either. Think pinpoint presentations that are slowed way down or even dead sticked. Now for the particular rod that you are referring to I would stick to things like dropshot, shakey head, flick shake, split shot, dart head, senkos and smaller jigs. Quote
backwater4 Posted June 6, 2010 Posted June 6, 2010 1/8 oz. jigs, 4" worms / slider spider head and hair jigs. Sometimes a small tube. Quote
