PondBoss Posted May 18, 2013 Posted May 18, 2013 I've never tried this stuff, but I had a gift card to burn and thought why not. Has anyone here used it? Tell me what you thought. It says it's super abrasion resistant and casts well, but how is the stretch? I got 2 330yd spools one in 14lb and the other in 20lb. I figured if it's not great than I have backing for a life time, and if it's great then....great! The camo color is interesting to say the least and I'm amxious to get it on the water to see how it looks. Any feedback would be greatly appreciated. Quote
mtaag3 Posted May 18, 2013 Posted May 18, 2013 I can't be of much help but I did put it on one of my reels. It does seem like nice line and casts very nice however in hindsight I'm not sure it can't be seen in clear water despite the "camo". Quote
jeepnkal Posted May 18, 2013 Posted May 18, 2013 I use it here in the clear waters of southern california and love it. 10lb w/ a 6lb yo zuri hd floro carbon leader, about 4 ft long. My reasoning is for sight, it is much easier to see then power pro (what i switched from) when I need to see line play while finesse fishing. just my .02 cents. Quote
mtaag3 Posted May 18, 2013 Posted May 18, 2013 I never thought about just using a Fluoro leader, that's why I'm still learning Quote
PondBoss Posted May 18, 2013 Author Posted May 18, 2013 If you have to use a Fluoro leader I guess it's not that much camo. lol Quote
MrSwimJig Posted May 18, 2013 Posted May 18, 2013 I have used it on bait casting and spinning setups and had no problems with it. Great line and I really like the camo pattern. Fished with it in clear water also and never had and problems with getting my share of fish. Quote
PondBoss Posted May 18, 2013 Author Posted May 18, 2013 Mr Swim Jig, that;s exactly what I was wanting to hear. Hopefully I'll get a chance to use it soon. Quote
Super User .ghoti. Posted May 19, 2013 Super User Posted May 19, 2013 I bought a spool of four pound test to use on a trout trip. The camo coating kept peeling off. That was on day one. At the end of day one, it went in the trash. Quote
