Again another bait that i never tried, went out today and fished the most highly pressured pond on base, went three previous times and didn't even get a bite, but today i started throwing a Sweet Beaver in Dirty Sanchez Texas rigged on a Mustad 4/0 twistlock weighted swimbait hook, and it was katybar the door. i counldn't get that thing in the water quick enough, caught four 1 3/4+ pounders. gotta say i really like those baits.

Love the sweet beavers! Junebug is my favorite color.. I think they came out with a new one called the kinky beaver, have you tried that yet?

While I like the sweet beavers I fish the smallie beavers as much or more. I use the smallie beavers as a jig trailer also.  I really like the new "black light" color but normally fish black/red flake, fried watermelon, and white trash..........

I always have one rigged and ready, always.

I've had good results with a Space Monkey on a 1/8 oz Moaner Rage Rig hook.  Fished it like the Rage Craw, but.....over lily pads.  Works as well as the good ole Stanley Ribbit!!

I've had a lot of success with Reaction Innovations Sweet and Kinky beaver. My all time favorite, not sure if it's considered a creature bait so much as a grub, but the Yamamoto Fat Ika. Rig it backwards with the tentacles by the hook eye on a 4/0 EWG hook. The bass in the quarry lakes I fish go crazy for it. They absolutely can't stand it.

Hate the complete lack of action in a lot of beaver style baits. The profile and appendages of many hang up in heavy cover, too. The original is a great bait, I just hate giving them the business, don't agree with a lot that Andre has done and I can't get on board with that. I really like the Lake Fork Flipper and HyperFreak. I also fish the SK Rodent in a pinch, but it isn't my favorite. It's a one and done bait, which doesn't bother me much, but so often, it gets damaged on hanging up on vegetation. That bugs me, have an appendage torn off from pulling the bait through pads...

I fish the Pit Boss more than any other beaver type bait, right now. It has great action, durability, and it has superb color patterns.

Lastly, the Bass Pro Bull Hog has been a really good bait for me this year, too. Good colors and great subtle action result in a good flipping bait for multiple situations.

The Owner Yuki bug has been my primary flipping bait for 2 years. I just don't feel the need to use anything else when it has been so productive.
