bassinsergeant Posted June 2, 2010 Posted June 2, 2010 Ever since i was intorduced to the Rage tail Eeliminator I have loved it. I have caught fish dragging it on the bottom Carolina Rigged all the way to swimming it on top. Not only has the eeliminator been very successful for me but I have also wore the fish out on the craw and the anaconda. I was at Pickwick about a month ago and we caught over 100 fish a day on a T-Rigged craw. This past weekend I caught my PB on the eeliminator and my son also caught his. I thought that it was awesome when I caught my 8 pounder but when my son caught his that was over 5 i was all smiles and he was too!!! I have found my favorite bait and i think my son has to. Here is the pics of the PB's. Quote
Blue Streak Posted June 2, 2010 Posted June 2, 2010 I am still trying to get the Eeliminator to run right. Thought I had it, but I am still having problems. Love the action when it is right and I know it will catch bass. Just got to keep working at it I guess. Quote
JaxBasser Posted June 2, 2010 Posted June 2, 2010 Man those are some nice fish. My first cast and first fish ever with a rage tail bait was this fish I caught today. Got it on the Anaconda. Caught a few more decent fish on it as well. Quote
Super User iceintheveins Posted June 2, 2010 Super User Posted June 2, 2010 I've only fished the shad but it's one of the best topwaters I have ever fished. Quote
Super User Shane J Posted June 2, 2010 Super User Posted June 2, 2010 Very nice!! Congrats to you both! Quote

Big-O Posted June 3, 2010 Posted June 3, 2010 Hey Sergeant, be sure and tell that young man how proud all of us BassResource are to see that MONSTER BASS he caught BTW, you're PB's a real Hawg too and Congratulations to both of you... And JaxBasser, that's a good'un you caught as well and glad you had fun with the Annie Big O www.ragetail.com Quote
rondef Posted June 3, 2010 Posted June 3, 2010 WTG bassinsergeant, life doesn't get mmuch better than that. The two of you catching big hawgs and new PBs is sweet. Quote

I am sure you are right but I just can't figure it out. First lure that has ever stumped me. I tried to fish it weightless just under the surface this spring, but any movement at all made it spin. I want to use it c rigged but not until I can see it is running right. I have looked at the Rage Tail site and followed all of the directions, but no go. Quote
Super User Shane J Posted June 3, 2010 Super User Posted June 3, 2010 Blue Streak, try this. Go up to a size 5/0 Owner Twistlock. The screw lock in the center of the head, and the size and weight of the heavy wire hook helps it run the way it's supposed to, and as long as you stick in in the center, and don't skin hook it too much, it should help you get that baby runnin' good, and you're gonna love it on a C rig! Good luck! Quote
Nice_Bass Posted June 4, 2010 Posted June 4, 2010 Just used these products for the first time last night. Seemed durable, looked good in the water, and ran true. My only complaint with the Anaconda was the resistance through the air. All that plastic is great for moving water, not great for moving in the air. Way I was fishing I needed distance casting to cover front back and center of a 7 ft hump in 18ft of water. Had to switch to the Berkley 10inch power bait as I could get just a bit more distance but still carry the larger profile. All that aside, I cannot wait to throw the Annie t-rigged weightless around some docs, should get those pigs to come out for dinner. Quote

A Gamakatsu 4/0 EWG SUPERLINE Hook will Fix You UP Also if your line is coiled badly prior to using the Eeliminator, it could possibly cause some problems. Big O www.ragetail.com Quote
Blue Streak Posted June 5, 2010 Posted June 5, 2010 Thanks Big O and Shane. Looks like I need to try a heavier hook, I have been using the 4/0 twist lock but I guess that is not heavy enough. I am going to stay with it until I figure it out. Quote
Whets Lines Posted June 5, 2010 Posted June 5, 2010 I recently purchased some of the Rage Tail Toads. We have a small lake near by which used to be a quarry. It is loaded with lily pads, sub surface vegetation, and is crystal clear. This bait works great as a top-water bait around all the lily pads. The action and noise it produces pulls hogs from the deep. They are a bit expensive and get tore up pretty easily. But I've been tearing up the top-water bite with them and heartily recommend them. After reading the other posts, I can't wait to try more. Whets 8-) Quote

My rage shad took a beating and looks brand new now http://www.***.com/Mend-It_Glue/descpage-MIG.html Quote
The Guy Posted June 5, 2010 Posted June 5, 2010 Bought my first product from the rage tail line a week ago, the rooster. I caught a 19" largemouth last night on one. Quote
Whets Lines Posted June 5, 2010 Posted June 5, 2010 Thanks Gamecocks. I went right to TW and ordered some. My main issues are with the "tails" of the Rage Tails ripping. Of course, the bait monkey was hungry so he talked me into ordering more Rage Tails and a few extra hooks. Of course, I had to go over $50 for the free shipping. Whets 8-) Quote
