Arv Posted May 17, 2013 Posted May 17, 2013 Its a good deal. I don't know if you should buy them though. That depends on a lot more than if its a good deal or not. Quote
Super User lmbfisherman Posted May 17, 2013 Super User Posted May 17, 2013 Personally I'd pull the trigger on the GLX line and up only. But it is a great deal, important question is for you. Will these be used in your arsenal? Quote
Super User lmbfisherman Posted May 17, 2013 Super User Posted May 17, 2013 To add to that, I'd rather buy the Cumara series over the IMX too and you can get the previous models or even newer models for around the same price. I have one of the previous models and love to fish with it just as much as my GLXs. Quote
CiMo Posted May 17, 2013 Author Posted May 17, 2013 The guy admits these or maybe all loomis rods have a bad tendency to break? Any thoughts or opinions on that based on personal experiance or just hear say? Quote
skeletor6 Posted May 17, 2013 Posted May 17, 2013 The guy admits these or maybe all loomis rods have a bad tendency to break? Any thoughts or opinions on that based on personal experiance or just hear say? No. Any rod can break if mishandled. The imx series is a classic and has stood the test of time. No plauged breakage issues with these rods. And for $150 used is about the going rate depending on condition. Quote

Maico1 Posted May 17, 2013 Posted May 17, 2013 If you want these rods then offer him 200-225 period....As to the breakage,BS. Quote

Retails for $275 The PR844C is a salt water Popping rod that can be used for spoons and crankbaits. I use the PR845C for smaller crankbaits between 3/8 to 1/2 oz and for my structure spoons, slower action rod with good backbone. The CR723C is only 6' long, a short rod in today's bass fishing. I wouldn't bother with the short rod, very application specific, the popping rod is worth about $100 used, if in perfect condition. Tom Quote
