Super User Felix77 Posted May 17, 2013 Super User Posted May 17, 2013 How and when do you use Fire tiger colored baits? Quote
Hyrule Bass Posted May 17, 2013 Posted May 17, 2013 ive read theyre good in stained/dirty water. dont really know myself. ive never had much luck with the fire tiger color. Quote
BobP Posted May 17, 2013 Posted May 17, 2013 The above, or around grass, or when the bass are feeding on bluegill. There's good reason why fire tiger has been popular for decades. Quote
je1946 Posted May 17, 2013 Posted May 17, 2013 I have a couple of spinnerbaits that i've changed the blade colors to firetiger along with the firetiger colored skirts, when the wind is blowing I throw them in clear water, the smallies hammer them. I also like throwing the #4 in line Mepp spinners in firetiger for smallies after the spawn. Haven't had much luck with firetiger colored cranks though. Quote
Super User Tuckahoe Joe Posted May 17, 2013 Super User Posted May 17, 2013 A Firetiger inline spinner with a gold blade is my go to bait for trout on overcast days. I could be wrong but I would think it would be a good color anytime you'd throw something chartreuse. Those bright colors really stand out in murky water. Quote
BuckMaxx Posted May 17, 2013 Posted May 17, 2013 I generally throw them in murky water when the perfered forage is craws. I also love the little bomber square bill craw back chart belly. Quote
Lip 'em! Posted May 17, 2013 Posted May 17, 2013 Ive never had much luck on firetiger crankbaits but can catch a bass or two everynow and then on a firetiger spinnerbait. Quote
Maico1 Posted May 17, 2013 Posted May 17, 2013 Fish this in weed lanes, open water or along a weed edge in any water. This color is what I consider Fire Tiger....Karakusa Tiger... http://www.megabassusa.com/sites/default/files/imagecache/product/karakusa-tiger.jpg Quote
mjseverson24 Posted May 18, 2013 Posted May 18, 2013 anytime you have a perch forage base the fire tiger is a good option, I personally dont use it very much but I did just get outfished by my brother using it. hmm... Mitch Quote
