The bass spawn seems to be over in Northern Indiana. Is it time to go with deep cranks over the drop offs and deeper flats to catch some of the bigger females?

heck yeah, it already feels like 90 degrees by 11:30 here and that's where i have a bit of luck every time...deep crankin or drop shottin old lake and road beds. It's very exciting now that we picked up some old aerial photos of the land before it was flooded.

Here in Colorado the bigger females have already moved off the deeper weededges and I have been catching a lot of 3 - 5 pound fish on 6" plastic worms. Also got a good one on a Bomber Fat A the other day, that runs about 8' - 10' on 10 pound test. So yup, deep crankin' time is here. In the deeper lakes I will run Mann's 15 plus and Excalibur fat frees.

Sure.

Surface water temp here in my part of Tennessee is now approaching the mid-80s. Spawn is over, fish are going deep. I've had good luck recently fishing cranks from 6 to 10 feet deep. I've got my DD14s, DD22s, heavy spinnerbaits, etc., ready for when they go deeper...
