Current setup is a tracker 175txw , 12v ,hds5 gen 2 at helm, elite 4 color at bow.  I am wanting to add a hds7 gen 2 to the ram mount and move the 5 to the bow.  I also am going to add the lss2 package.

Question I have is has anyone had any issues with this set up out of aluminum boats and interference of any kind?

Also, with only a 12v running all of this I feel like I should change over to a 24v system which I would like to run my TM off of anyhow.  As any of you know with trackers though- really not much room left to play with.

Thoughts?

Could move two up front dedicated to 24v for just the tm and then have your two 12s in the back for accessories/crankn.

Of course, you would need a four bank charger and some good wire to get it to the front in order to run a single charger, that or two seperate two bank chargers hooked up to a power strip.

Both of those options sound like a lot of work. I know its a "no no" to run your electronics off your tm battery but I do it in mine with no issues and I have a tracker 17 pro. You could divide the systems between the crankn battery and tm battery if it makes you feel better. I dont run my big motor nearly enough to charge my battery and with my crankn battery being a group 27 I would rather have no fish finders and no tm power than not be able to crank my motor.

You should have no problems with your bat being aluminum. As long as you have a separate battery for your trolling system, 12 volt for your main boat peer is fine.

I don't have any problems with my 2 HDS 5's on my tin rig.  I have a slight interference with the trolling motor but it seems to come and go so I'm not to concerned about it.  When I'm idling around the Sonar and SS are crystal clear too.  My only issue is if I trim all the way up I will lose my depth reading, but that's not to big of a deal.  If I don't know where I'm at I don't go fast anyway.

Currently I run two FF's, LED internal lights, aerator, bilge, running/navigation lights and the big motor off of a 24 series optima. Never had it fall below 12.5 volts. There is no issue running everything off of the cranking battery since every accessory pulls so little. Ive gone all day running everything besides the big motor and never had an issue.

I would never wire anything besides the trolling motor onto those two other batteries. Im hard enough on them already
