I was catching bass like crazy a week ago and now nothing in 3 different spots for 3 days now, not even bites. I am so new to bass fishing that I dont know the seasonal habits yet and if the temps and long winter have had something to do with it or not. I have been fishing earlier by 730/8 am and usually leaving by 2pm frustrated with not even bream biting. I have been using spinnerbaits with and without trailers, different colors but to no avail. I fish Lake Wylie in SC and if someone could maybe chime in and throw some knowledge for me to soak up i will gladly listen.

It is possible the fish are on bed which means a tougher bite but also means u can catch a huge fish as well look in the shallow banks for fish sitting in light or dark colored "beds" these fish can be difficult at times to catch but offers a great learning opportunity. If u dont see any on bed try using a completely different bait one of the best baits to find out if fish are in area is a wacky rig. You can fish this as slow or as fast as u like its not a big fish bait but u will quickly find out if they are biting.

The wacky rig isn't a big fish bait??? I guess the numerous 8#-10# class bass I have caught with it didn't know that.
