TourPT Posted May 31, 2010 Posted May 31, 2010 Was using it on some Spro Frogs the other day-When the bass hit the baits I would let them take it for about 3 seconds then set the hook. Got some solid hooksets and none of the ten or more bass released it before setting the hook. One actually had it almost down its throat and had to get snips and cut the hook and push them through. The bass was released unharmed-more than I can say for my frog-8 bucks- tick me off- I started adding MegaStrike to all my Frogs last year and won't ever fish one without it again. My hookup ratio is outstanding since I started using MegaStrike. The bass just love the taste of this stuff. Plus I have seen with my own eyes, not on a TV commercial, fishing show or in some tank somewhere, but with my own eyes on my own waters, bass that would come up and take a close look at my frog but not strike it without the Mega, then two seconds after I added Megastrike those same bass just hammered it. One word of warning though. If you ever stop making it I will hunt you down, tie you up and make you drink a bottle of Fish Formula with Sparkle Scales that has been sitting in my garage since the 80's. LOL Quote

Gamec0cks5 Posted June 2, 2010 Posted June 2, 2010 I'm hoping its good stuff. I bought my first tube yesterday! Caught several this morning with some clients. I had kids on the boat that couldn't fish a worm at ALL! They caught 2 a piece and I caught a few with them. It definitely worked to get them to hold on longer. The Senkos were tearing them up ;D Quote
Redhed Posted June 2, 2010 Posted June 2, 2010 Dont pre soak them -to me that is a waste -Just add a dab as needed. Feel the bait -if its not slick or slimy reapply thank you sir for the answer. Quote
Gamec0cks5 Posted June 3, 2010 Posted June 3, 2010 well i told y'all about me catching a lot of bass on some senkos with some cleints. That megastrike story was cool but nothing like what happened this morning. I was fishing around some Duck Potato and Pickerel Weed with a Rage Tail Rage Shad. I had mad a few casts with it then I started to notice some dinks come up behind it and chase it all the way to the boat and not do anything. So I applied some Megastrike to the shad. I then kept casting to the weeds and BOOM!!!. I had a bass just hammer it. I fought it for a minute and it got off. It was roughly 4lbs. I then cast it out to the same area a few more times then BANG!!! hauled in a 5lb 2oz pig. Was so excited I was giggling uncontrollable So few more casts in the same general area, BOOM fought this thing for a good while, it was 6lbs 3oz! So to say the least I'm a believer, those bass didn't just chase that thing down but just annihilated it. I am not saying that is the absolutely only reason I caught those fish but sure did help! 5lb 2oz 6lb 3oz I'm 6'4" 205lbs so I shrink fish in pictures but believe me she was FAT! Thanks BOBBY! Quote
Bobby Uhrig Posted June 4, 2010 Posted June 4, 2010 I have seen bass goi up to frogs and other baits and while the baits were staying perfectly still-they would nose up to them and just slurp them down. It truely wish that I could go fishing with a bunch of you guys just to have you experience some of the things I have witnessed and done on and below the water.absolutely mind blowing. Time on the water and experimenting is everything-Its the only way you really learn. Quote
tritz18 Posted June 4, 2010 Posted June 4, 2010 Recently put some on my spro frogs and I have to say it really made a difference. Only missed a few and the fish seemed to really hold onto bait. I used to be skeptical about scents but I really think the megastrike worked! Quote
s13john Posted June 4, 2010 Posted June 4, 2010 need a summer formula though .... i just had a half tube run out in my plastic's bin. >... o well tw's got some more on the way .... but i do take donations ;D ;D Quote
Back2fishing Posted June 4, 2010 Posted June 4, 2010 I just found some megastrike at my local wallmart ,I have heard lots of good things about this stuff .On my days off next week it will be the first thing I put on my tube jigs, can't wait .The Smallies are going to be sorry I found some ;D Let you know how it goes Kevin Quote
snapshotmd Posted June 4, 2010 Posted June 4, 2010 I'm not sure whether it is the Megastrike, or if I got better fishing since last year. Last year I joined a bass club and didn't catch too much at all; like 1 keeper all year. I got Megastrike late last year, but I wasn't using it consistently and was only putting on a little on my lures (a small 1/2" dab on my finger, then I smear it on). This year, I decided I was going to use it up by using a lot of it. I came in 2nd place in the 1st tnx. I've been using it on everything I throw now, and I use a lot of it; a line of MS down 1 side of the bait, then I smear it on evenly with my finger. I now consistently out fish whoever my boater is. But then again, I've been more accurate with my cast since last year. I definitely notice I miss less hook ups than my boaters. Quote
Bobby Uhrig Posted June 4, 2010 Posted June 4, 2010 snap- like I said its just time on the water. Repetition is the formula for skill. PRACTICE PRACTICE PRACTICE Quote
