I've decided it's time for another spinning setup. I've already decided on the reel but I can't quite pick a rod. I'm looking for something between 6'8-6'10 for shakey heads and wacky rigs mostly, probably a med/ fast or x-fast between $100-$150. Any suggestions are welcome and appreciated.

I love my Pinnacle 70ml/f.  It fishes just a bit heavier than a ML.  It is my favorite setup/ paired with a 2500 ci4

Fenwick elite tech smallmouth series rods. The 6'9 medium rod would be good for $129 with a lifetime warranty. Comfortable in hand, light weight, and sensitive for a rod in its class.

Get a custom builder to build you a Batson 802.75 blank any way you want it. It is a lot like the St. Croix 6'8" mxf rods but a little lighter in the tip and a little more power in the midsection. I know a builder who will do it for $125 + shipping if you're interested, PM me and I"ll give you the number.

On the lower end the fenwick elite tech smallmouth is an excellent choice
