Getting curious as to what's coming, especially after seeing the

video.  So, anyone care to take a guess?

I'll start the ball rolling:

Abu Garcia - I think the Orra baitcasters are due for an upgrade.  The Max and Revo series were both overhauled recently, as were the spinning reels, so that leaves the Orra baitcasters out in the cold.  Could also be more high-end spinning reels.

Daiwa - The Project T video doesn't show much, but I'd guess a $100 - $120 baitcast offering as well as a $180 - $200 baitcaster.  Think there's a new spinning reel as well, but no idea as to price point.

Lew's - More spinning reels at different price points.  Heard a rumor that they'll be releasing LH versions of the Super Duty and the Team Gold/Pro, but otherwise their baitcast reel lineup seems pretty well filled.

Shimano - Shimano probably won't replace the Curado G, but they might do the closest thing to it and introduce a $180 baitcast reel.  And a $350 reel to fill the Chronarch D's slot.

Any thoughts?

My predictions: Complaints, doubts, rants, excitement...  You can take that to the bank.

Looking for an updated CI4 with X-Ship.

Maybe a JDM version of the Curado.

I have saved up money for the anticipated new Shimano Reels.  I can't wait!

A bunch of overpriced stuff that I really don't need. A bunch of hype over something "new" that everyone will order and then have to wait 4 months to get. More stuff with either KVD or IKE stamped all over it. The absolute greatest fishing line ever, an extreme combo of mono, flouro, and braid that will float when you need it to and sink when you need it to, until 2014 ICast, when its upgraded.

A new Curado 50 would be nice. Even a Citica 50 would be great.

I'd love to see a Citica 50.  Heck, I might even pay full MSRP for one. :)  My Citica 201E is good for light lures, and one with a lighter spool could only be better.

I am waiting for ICast to get the new St. CROIX canepole and the Strike King KVD Neato Nightcrawlers, along with a bag of Havoc Ike's Crazy Creepy Crawlers.

I know Irod is coming out with a Flipping Stick in the Air series. Would love to see Lew's come out with some new stuff, but as mentioned their baitcasting line up is good at the moment. I saw that Dobyn's is coming out with a DX766 Flipping stick that I have been waiting on.

Really I am just excited about some of the new stuff to come like baits, rigs, and such. Always the smaller companies that intrigue me the most.

Supposed to be a new series of rods from a semi custom builder. Built on a proprietary NFC blank with American Fishing Tackle guides. It's supposed to be pretty astounding performance for the money. I've only handled prototype rods from said company, and have been reasonably impressed. That said, I've heard nothing on them of late.

More nano technology. Higher prices. Lots of name dropping.

Lews should reveal a higher level spinning reel "designed" by Jay Yelas.

Some rod manufacturer will come out with a fore grip made of walrus tusk or some exotic bone. Should do well.

The hot deal on hooks will be green. They will complement red and be available around Christmas.

Lots of videos with pros and reps who forget where they are.
