Shaky Head Weight?

Did a search through the forums and couldn't seem to get a clear answer for this. As far as shaky heading goes, what's a good all-purpose weight for use with baitcasting gear? I'm planning on buying some off ebay but I'm not sure what weight to get. Any help is appreciated!

I like to fish shaky heads on spinning gear and go as light as possible. Wind and depth determine what weight i use.

If I had to use a bait caster, I would go with 3/8... but it might not be the best weight.

I use 1/8 oz when it is calm outside, I then switch up to 3/16th when it gets breezier. I just can't feel the bite with a 1/8 oz as well as the 3/16th

I'm using a Curado 200E7 and it can cast 1/4 rat-l-traps with little problem so that's the weight I was planning to use...but it seems like with all this input I'm getting 3/8oz might be a better choice. The ones I'm looking at come in 5/16oz too so that may be a good compromise.

For a baitcaster I would go with 1/4 oz. just because its a baitcaster, but if you are real good with a baitcaster go down 1/8 oz. or at least 3/16 oz. because I personally think that the lighter weights will get you more bites.

Just went with the 1/4oz. I get the feeling the lighter the weight the better holds true with these things.

I like 3/16, 1/4, and 3/8 oz depending on depth and wind. Take into account that the worm itself weighs at least 1/8 oz and likely more.

1/8oz from 1ft to 40ft...the heavier the weight the more you get snagged
