Leever Posted May 20, 2010 Posted May 20, 2010 What is the best way to rig as Zoom Trick Worm? I bought a pack today and was wondering thanks. Quote
Super User Sam Posted May 20, 2010 Super User Posted May 20, 2010 Anyway you want. Texas Wacky Shaky Flick Shake Carolina Backwards For topwater rig it with your favorite 2/0 or 3/0 hook without a weight on a spinning rig using 6 or 8 pound mono and twitch it like a snake in the water, keeping it on top at all times. Great plastic for wacky rigging with hook in the middle. Super presentation for shaky and flick shake. Use it the trick worm anyway you want. Quote
Super User fishfordollars Posted May 20, 2010 Super User Posted May 20, 2010 Wacky. Just hook it in the middle and enjoy. If you need to weigh it down try a 1/32 bullet weight. The only way I fish it. I just don't care to stick the nails in either end. Plus, if i decide to t-rig it i don't have to re rig it. One pack won't be enough. It's one of my go to lures. Try a watermellon/Red Quote
Super User Raul Posted May 20, 2010 Super User Posted May 20, 2010 There is no such thing as: "the best way to rig as Zoom Trick Worm" or the right answer is in the words of Sam, rig it any way you want. Quote
Vinny Chase Posted May 20, 2010 Posted May 20, 2010 T-Rig so the hook is the very middle instead of at the top. This will give the worm great fluttering action on both sides. Quote
OIFBasser Posted May 20, 2010 Posted May 20, 2010 Trick worms are my most used plastics. Wacky rigging is phenomenal, also I like to put a nail weight in the bottom end, and nose hook it. It looks pretty tasty bouncing and hopping around. Quote
aarogb Posted May 20, 2010 Posted May 20, 2010 It used to be Texas-rigged but after this spring I like it weightless with a 3/0 or 4/0 EWG hook. Quote
Leever Posted May 20, 2010 Author Posted May 20, 2010 Thanks for the suggestions. I Texas rigged it today and caught four bass at a local pond, with the biggest weighing in at 6 pounds. I'm hooked Quote
skeeteroneal Posted May 26, 2010 Posted May 26, 2010 My best success has been wacky rigged on a flick shake head. Quote
Gorgebassman Posted May 28, 2010 Posted May 28, 2010 I like to use them on a drop shot rig wacky style and I like to Texas rig them. Quote
kikstand454 Posted May 28, 2010 Posted May 28, 2010 carolina rigged on a 3/0 gammy skipgap. awesome. like was said before though.... they pretty much rule any way you rig them. best all around plastic out there. Quote
