I Got this Quantum Energy PT xm From my bass fishing club at school and it has been used. Its is also A left hand reel. I was wondering what the price of these and if any of you guys liked these reels.

The only thing i know is the drag is butter smooth! Its was also spooled up with some nice heavy braid which i think is a plus!

Thanks, Adam

Definitely a right hand reel.  I own one of these, they are solid reels and the only Quantum I've ever owned.  IMHO I think this is the best reel they made, in terms of performance and durability.  I can't say enough good things about it, however it now serves as a backup though as I like to fish my Shimanos more.  Still a very good reel, as for the price of one used, you will be hard pressed to find someone to pay fair dollar for it.  I find just because it says Quantum a majority steer clear from it.

Uhhh guys, its a lefty. Notice how Quantum is spelled backwards on it :computer-17:

Personally, I do not like quantum reels. That said, its an older energy so my guess is that it could go for 70-80 bucks. Take that with a grain of salt though as I do not like them. Just my personal preference.

The list price on that reel was $199.95 when it came out in '04. given the age, It's probably worth $50-$75 depending on the condition. You can look some up on the auction site to see what they really bring.

Yeah probably around that ballpark, but you'd be waiting a long time to even sell at that price point.  It's sad really, mine is beat up and still works well and it is still smooth.  Main reason I don't use it as much is that it's not as comfortable to palm as my other reels (I like more bottom contact fishing).  Still use it as a backup spinnerbait reel.
