Geezer2 Posted May 31, 2010 Posted May 31, 2010 Hello and thanks for all the usefull info. I am new here and enjoy the forum. QUESTION: I am interested in a couple of comments on what night light is preferred. I have a small one and plan to upgrade. I seen one with LEDS, looks good but a little pricy. Tried a search, did not come up with anything. Appreciate any recommendations Quote

Geezer2 Posted May 31, 2010 Author Posted May 31, 2010 Night light? I stopped using those when I was 5. Guess we are slow. ;D Anyway, we need to lite up our flourscent line better. I'm in the front and my wife in the back, hopefully someone will chime in with a suitable recommendation. Our small lite just isn't big enough. Quote
Big-O Posted May 31, 2010 Posted May 31, 2010 Hello and thanks for all the usefull info. Appreciate any recommendations Geezer2, I fished nights for years and only used a small head light on my hat for re-tying etc. If that's what you're looking for, the smaller the better and I use the more LED's now. Have bought the cheap ones and wished I didn't cause they don't last at all for me. Here's a photo of it, got it at a hunting show. It has lasted well and thru three sets of the small flat lithium batteries. Don't know the brand but if you find out where to gett'em, pls let me know Big O www.ragetail.com Quote
Geezer2 Posted May 31, 2010 Author Posted May 31, 2010 Thanks Big O, we have LED cap lights that seem to work fine. The one you posted may be better. Its a recommendation to upgrade our black light. We have a small one and I seen somewhere one that covered nearly 160 degrees and 40ft or so out. A little pricy and I thought I would see what some others are using. Sorry if I confused the issue. Geezer2 Posted May 31, 2010 Author Posted May 31, 2010 burleytog, Have you used this light? If so, how do you like it? I'll have to call them Tuesday, I assume it will attach to the side of the boat with suction cups. It sure appears the coverage is what I am looking for. Thanks Quote
Super User burleytog Posted May 31, 2010 Super User Posted May 31, 2010 No, I haven't used the Nucli-Eye. Currently running an Optronics LED and conventional tube. Nucli-Eye is on my wish list. Quote
Geezer2 Posted May 31, 2010 Author Posted May 31, 2010 ok and thanks. I'll check them out Tuesday. thanks again Quote
bass or bass ? Posted June 1, 2010 Posted June 1, 2010 At first I thought you were asking about submersiblre lights. The submersible I use is a green flourescent tube type and it really attracts the plankton which attracts the shad. Guess what comes then? Quote

No, we are moving ahead with a better black light. Me in the front and my wife in the back we need better coverage. Only having a 17ft helps, but maybe something bigger will come along some day : Quote

The Extreme mounted amidships will provide enough light for both anglers. Quote
