Fish Man Posted March 16, 2007 Posted March 16, 2007 has anyone ever tried one called pumpkin pepper green? Quote
Super User Marty Posted March 17, 2007 Super User Posted March 17, 2007 I usually use pumpkinseed in clear water and bright skies, otherwise black, except each color seems to work just as well in the other conditions too. Quote
Super User Munkin Posted March 17, 2007 Super User Posted March 17, 2007 When in doubt use green pumkin or solid black. Allen Quote
sal669 Posted March 17, 2007 Posted March 17, 2007 My "GO TO" colour is Junebug. It seams to work equaly well in any type of water. For very clear water I'll try also some translucent colours like Watermelon(seed), pumpkin(seed), bluegill, babybass. in stained water i think solid colours work better, I highly favor some black/ blue combination. Nashiem Posted March 17, 2007 Posted March 17, 2007 when It comes to worms I use red shad and black, as far as water color these colors have been effective for me in clear water as well as muddy green and brown water. also yammamoto senko color 022 black with large blue flake is a killer here in jersey Quote
Super User Catt Posted March 17, 2007 Super User Posted March 17, 2007 Any time, any place Cinnamon Pepper Neon/June Bug Laminated (Camouflage) Quote
Super User Bankbeater Posted March 17, 2007 Super User Posted March 17, 2007 grape or black grape. Quote

bassmaster8100 Posted March 17, 2007 Posted March 17, 2007 #1 choice is watermelon green, i also have alot of luck on red shad, black, plum apple and june bug. All depending on the water clarity as already mentioned. Quote
Super User T-rig Posted March 17, 2007 Super User Posted March 17, 2007 I use dark colors 99% of the time. Quote
KeukaSmallies Posted March 17, 2007 Posted March 17, 2007 I use a lot of perch, Arkansas shiner, or shad colored plastics...seem to be effective in the lake I fish here in central NYS. Quote
BassFishingMachine Posted March 18, 2007 Posted March 18, 2007 Green pumpkin, black, pumpkin seed, red shad, cinnamon (or any color similiar to a brown), watermelon seed, watermelon red, camo, and green pumkin red, those are my most productive colors for worms. Quote
BassBeat101 Posted March 19, 2007 Posted March 19, 2007 I do like the red/tequila shad colors for worms, especially in darker waters. In clearer water, lately I've been using a lot of redbug - seems to work well for me. Daryl Quote
Stringjam Posted March 19, 2007 Posted March 19, 2007 Black or red shad -- even in water with up to 15' visibility, the dark colors seem to be the most consistent for me.....YMMV and so on... Quote
TravisLovett Posted March 19, 2007 Posted March 19, 2007 In my opinion its really hard to go with a bad color in worms. Unless its rediculously bright. Quote
Super User MALTESE FALCON Posted March 19, 2007 Super User Posted March 19, 2007 In St. Clair's clear water, I use black/blue on cloudy days and watermelon or green pumpkin on sunny days. Falcon Quote
Banor Posted March 19, 2007 Posted March 19, 2007 It's very difficult to go wrong with pumpkins and watermelons laced with purple, black or gold fleck. B Quote
lmb7 Posted March 19, 2007 Author Posted March 19, 2007 do you guys rather have a straight colour or have flecks or a 2 tone Quote
Super User FishTank Posted March 19, 2007 Super User Posted March 19, 2007 My new favorite (secret weapon this year) is a GYCB 5'' Senko in Smoke Pearl Blue Laminate #927. I like worms with flecks, just in case. Quote
