HookSetDon Posted May 8, 2013 Posted May 8, 2013 I often hear about the inside line and outside line when fishing Specifically fishing vegetation one can concentrate on the inside line - behind the predominant weed edge Outside line- infront of the predominant weed edge During obvious times like the spawn we can find the majority of the bass behind and on the inside lines, as the spawn comes to an end most bass move closer to the edge and begin to post on the outside line closer to deep water. What kind of conditions other than seasonal trends will bass go against this general statement? Quote
Super User Paul Roberts Posted May 9, 2013 Super User Posted May 9, 2013 Wait a minute. You are in Canada. It may just be that your fish, LM notably, will relate to the inside (shallow) side of the weedline for much of the summer. Quote
zip pow Posted May 9, 2013 Posted May 9, 2013 The biggest factor where I fish is where the most of the bait is during what period of the day it is.In the mornings I'll find bait and fish on the inside and as the sun comes up they tend to hang on the outside and during the mid day they will be in the cover. With that said my primary forage is shad and I'm sure where the forage is different the conditions will be also. Quote
