Nissan Or Tohatus ?

Looking into getting a new outboard. Was wondering if anyone has one of these motors. Are they same motor, just with different names ?

The Tohatus in about $30.00 cheaper....Thanks

Up to 40 hp same motor as well as the Mercury.   Evinrude up to 15 hp is also the same motor if you are asking about the new 4 strokes.  Only difference is a couple of different bells and whistles and paint color.

I don't think it matters. I have a 9.8 Tohatsu kicker on my boat for fishing the local 10 hp limit lakes. It was the best price of all that I looked at, and has served me flawlessly for several seasons. I know a few other guys who own them without complaint. Good luck.
