I just purchased a bag of these apparently I don't have a hook that is long enough, what typ/size hook is effective with these lures?

You'd do best to consider a 3/8 oz., 4/0 size swimbait type hook. Rig it "texposed". With the weight on the belly of these plastics, the motion of the bait, moving through the water, extends to both the head and tail. The action is incredible and very productive. Also, rigged in this fasion, it can be fished through various covers without hanging up. Quite effective for early season SM, LM, stripers, catfish....you name it!

Look also into getting some Keiteck Swing Impacts. :)
