Greg17 Posted May 6, 2013 Posted May 6, 2013 Hi guys, I've been reading around the forum for a couple weeks now and am very impressed with all the great reports/info people share. So, I've decided to post a "report" (well, it's actually a youtube "highlight" video). I've recently got into kayak bass fishing and would like to share some of my favorite fishing holes around central New York. The particular locations in the video are various points along the Seneca-Cayuga canal...which you may have guess, is the canal that connects Seneca and Cayuga lake (2 of the Finger Lakes). Hope you enjoy! 1 Quote
Super User Paul Roberts Posted May 6, 2013 Super User Posted May 6, 2013 Awesome video. Love it. You are a lucky man. Great water in Central NY. I used to live there. Hey, what kind of yak is that? Quote
Greg17 Posted May 7, 2013 Author Posted May 7, 2013 Thanks guys! Paul-The kayak is a Lifetime manta kayak. Not gonna win me any races but the stability is fantastic and allows me to stand and fish which is great! And I agree, CNY does have some great water! Quote
Greg17 Posted May 7, 2013 Author Posted May 7, 2013 I should also add that the fishing is fantastic right now in the Seneca State Park Marina (Geneva, NY). Of course, my last few hours of fishing I finally figured out how to catch the fish (or at least they turned on) and my camera was having issues. However, caught 25+ bass from that marina with a handful of 1-3 lber's. There are literally hundreds of bass cruising in that marina with plenty of 3-5 lber's! Quote
