Most of you guys that read my posts, know that I am an avid jig fisherman for both shallow cover and deep structure. I am getting ready to order some jigs for the year, budget of 75 bucks or less.

Ive been using Dirty Jigs, Hackney jigs, and BooYa Ajigs. (Mostly Dirty Jigs)

I plan on buying Siebert Jigs but I also want to try some of the NorthStar Jigs. I want both, but dont really know which ones from who. I know i want some Big O brush jigs and I really wana try the Flip and Swim and Orginal Swim jigs from NSCB. Buth both builders have a full line of jigs and i really want ALL OF THEM!. Too much to choose from.

Im torn and im probably gonna sit at the computer for a couple of hours debating on which jigs to buy from who. I want to get a good taste of both but i also want to be stocked for the year...

Any feed back on which ones i should jump to would be helpful...and i am also good with which colors i like and want.

Thanks for listening to my silly rant

My suggestion is to up your budget to $100, and split it $50 each.  Then you will get free shipping from both, and SHOULD be able to get a good selection of both and make your decision from there!

A jig to me is mostly about the hook. Wire tied skirts are up there too. If I hadn't already stocked up I'd really be looking into the big o jigs. That one is nasty.

Not to stray you away from either company because both make some of the finest jigs available but I would suggest looking at trying your own. Wire tying is very simple and I prefer the outcome of something I want exactly over store bought jigs. There are lots of place if you look that you can get bulk jig heads and skirts are incredibly cheap. If not, then I would suggest as OOmod did and split your order up. You won't get as many as tying your own but I'm a very big fan of the brush and football jigs from both companies. Not to mention the color selection of both companies is probably the best/finest available.

Another thing to consider is North Star is catching up and a few weeks out on orders so think about that as you make your plans....I ordered some of the big o brush heads and used them for the first time yesterday and they were pretty amazing for a newbie jig fisherman like myself.

I love my Flip & Swim jigs from northstar and I have ordered heads from siebert to tie my own and both companies are great to deal with. I will for sure be ordering more here in a couple months.
