So I've been on a C-rig kick since I caught 2 fish on it a couple of weeks ago.

I've been studying and researching...just going through some of my tackle and came across an idea.

How about running a pegged Punch Skirt on the leader in front of a craw or creature bait...would make for some sort of weightless looking jig...might slow the fall of the bait and on the pause the skirt would undulate and flare...fish it with short drags and let the skirts action entice the fish...

I know ill never find out if it works until I try it...has anyone else tried anything similar with success?

I think that sounds like a pretty good idea.  Try it out and let us know how it does for ya.

Yep.  Read about doing this a while back by one of the pros.

Good idea.

Go for it.

Here's what I have rigged up as of right now.The "peg" isn't traditional, but its what I have to work with...wait...duh...why didn't I use the rubberband method? Anyhow I've got that bead and pegging it is a uni knot made with braid around the leader with 8 or 10 wraps. The whole thing seems bulky but compact (if that makes sense)

The only issue I see is maybe on the cast (pendulum effect)...I plan on fishing a traditional C-Rig with a traditional bait to determine if that bite is on, then ill throw this to see how they like it.

Well dang...here I thought I was being innovative...but I'm betting not many Bass in the lake I fish have seen something like that...most everyone throws traditional Cranks, Spinnerbaits and T Rigged worms. I'm itchin to try it out...weather permitting Tuesday will be the test.
