Went out this afternoon for a few hours. Caught 10. Largest around 4lbs. Heading back out tomorrow. Anyone else getting out?

I wish, the rez has been on fire the last few days.  Let me know how you do.

You guys are killing me, I went out of bull run Monday and couldn't buy a bite. I'm fishing from a kayak and still new to the Rez

What color kayak were you in?  I'm in a bright blue 13' jon.  Maybe i'll see you all sometime.

Went out again today for a few hours. We caught 8 and missed a bunch. Nothing of real size though.

George, did you get to fish in FL?

Nah, I was at the beach and didn't have any salt water gear.

Is it possible to fish the Occoquan Reservoir from the bank? If so, where would be the best areas to try?

about to drop the boat in at Bull Run

I got there after you and went upstream and had very little luck. I only saw one person fishing from a john boat, it was camo and he looked nothing like your avatar.

I saw soneone launching a brown yak. Not sure if it was you. I was wearing a light blue button up shirt.

Nope not me. Bull Run has kicked my but two weeks in a row and has really hurt my confidence, I'm going to have to rethink my next trip :dazed-7:

If launching from bull run, go up and fish the big cove by the soccer fields. Don't be afraid to get really shallow!

That is probably the only place i've caught decent fish around the wood at 5ft of water.

You fish the tourny yesterday?  How did you do?

14.68, happy with that! Get shallower than 5' cause its always deeper than you think! You will be amazed at how shallow these fish will get this time of year!

It can be a little tricky to get back up in there but often times it will be well worth it. You should be casting up into areas that you would swear you would see the backs of fish but they are there. Pay close attention to stumps and vertical structure. Good luck. Also check out the ends of the islands with shakey worms and small jigs.
