Sodus Bay Scooter Posted May 2, 2013 Posted May 2, 2013 Can the abu garcia generation 3 revo s handle lighter lures? After learning about the unique pitch brakes i am kinda skeptical How light are you talking? You won't be throwing crappie or bluegill baits on any baitcaster. And light bait casting doesn't just rely on the reel. The rod and line test probably have more of an effect than the reel does. Quote

Sodus Bay Scooter Posted May 2, 2013 Posted May 2, 2013 Well I know I can cast weightless senkos. And that's on a 7'mh rod. Quote
TNBassin' Posted May 3, 2013 Posted May 3, 2013 The S is fool proof. You can easily throw 1/8-1/4 baits/lures while using the pitch brakes. Fool proof. Quote
