Joakim Den Helige Mannen Posted May 2, 2013 Posted May 2, 2013 Hi! Im in need of a reel for mainly frogging but also crankbaits. The lure weight will be around 10-40 grams. Wich chronarch would you rekomend, and what retrieve speed should i choose? Best regards Joakim from sweden Quote
thehooligan Posted May 2, 2013 Posted May 2, 2013 Id go for the 51e, i like the smaller profile reel. Quote
Super User MarkH024 Posted May 2, 2013 Super User Posted May 2, 2013 If it's going to be a serious crankbait reel get the 200. More line will serve you better especially if you long line or get up into 17lb lines. I have a 200E5 and a 50e. Love them both so either way you will be happy. Get the E6 if its a multiple task reel. E5 if you plan on deep cranking. E7 would be best for frogging but not absolutely necessary. Quote
averagebass123 Posted May 2, 2013 Posted May 2, 2013 Where do you buy e series? can someone pm me where you can buy em? Quote
Super User MarkH024 Posted May 2, 2013 Super User Posted May 2, 2013 Where do you buy e series? can someone pm me where you can buy em? Any major retailer. Bass Pro, Cabelas, Dicks, Tackle Warehouse. Chronarch E is current...don't get confused with the previous years of Curado E's which is now the "G" series. Quote
rubba bubba Posted May 2, 2013 Posted May 2, 2013 Chronarch E is current...don't get confused with the previous years of Curado E's which is now the "G" series. If only they would make 50G's....sigh... Quote
Super User MarkH024 Posted May 2, 2013 Super User Posted May 2, 2013 If only they would make 50G's....sigh... Id rather they brought back the Curado E's they had but yes a current 50 series would be great. Quote
Joakim Den Helige Mannen Posted May 3, 2013 Author Posted May 3, 2013 Thanks for the replies! I guess that the 201e6 would be the best choice then . To bad that the only model being sold in Sweden is 201e7. Lets see what ebay has to offer Quote
War Eagle 44 Posted May 3, 2013 Posted May 3, 2013 Yes I agree that the 201E6 is the best choice for you and what you're looking to do with the reel. Quote
