I was just wondering what grit of sandpaper to use to get a good shine on my gelcoat,its an 88 stratos,has a couple spots that are not smooth,i would like to smooth it out so she shines,any info would be appreciated,thanks

If you absolutely have to sand I would use 1600 or 2000 and wet sand it.

I would strongly advise against sanding unless you have alot of experience. If you must use a super fine wet dry sandpaper and wet sand. The top coat is thin and is easily marred.

I used Zing on my boat and it worked wonders. I just cut it 50/50 with water and applied it with a scrub brush and just let it sit for a little bit and then hosed it off.
