Removing the skirt from a chatterbait and replacing with a swim bait, have anyone tried?

Has anyone tried this before where you take the skirt off a chatter bait and use the chatter head on your swim baits? How did you like it?

There are several guys in my local club who do this - I haven't tried it, but it does seem to work. Remember to get a good balance in your retrieve - fast enough to get the vibes going, but slow enought to get the fish interested.

Haven't yet on a chatterbait, but a paddletail swimbait/spinnerbait combo is a killer.

Yes, this just does not work at all. You will waste hours with slimy creatures and your thumb will be all chewed up.

Super glue the head of the dipper so you don't spend $20 a day.

You can use all sorts of trailers for a Chatterbait. Try a Super Fluke, Paca Craw or Swim Senko too.
