Lard_Bass Posted May 24, 2010 Posted May 24, 2010 So, I am tired of estimating the weight of the fish I catch. I am thinking of getting a fish scale. Any good recs? I see there are plenty of inexpensive ones out there but the reviews are mixed. I am thinking about getting a Boga grip (30 lb version since I target Pike and Muskie along with Bass). Before I drop money on a Boga, I just wanted to see if there is a better value out there. Any suggestions? Quote
Mr.Sheephead Posted May 24, 2010 Posted May 24, 2010 jeesh a boga! i rather get a new shimano curado but im not sure there are lots of scales out there like digitals and spring scales. just to let you know i think the digital scales become very inaccurate over time ans spring scales may be unconsistant i will catch a 2 pound bass that feels heavier so im not sure but a boga with its price should be very accurate i mean cmon for the money it better be! if you got the cash for the boga go for it and when you get it hang some vairous weights on it to be sure its accurate. Super User Dwight Hottle Posted May 24, 2010 Super User Posted May 24, 2010 Get the boga. Extremely accurate. Buy a float for it in case you drop it overboard. Great for landing pike & muskies as well. Quote
