LuckyHandsINC. Posted April 28, 2013 Posted April 28, 2013 I'm looking for a new leader material. I have always used whatever flouro I have but I want to try something specifically made for leaders. Has anyone used the Shensei leader material, what do you think? Any other suggestions for a leader material my most preferred traits are abrasion resistance and knot strength. Quote
Hogsticker Posted April 28, 2013 Posted April 28, 2013 I've been using this leader for about 14 months now. It fill both your requirements very well. Strong, fairly low stretch, ties beautiful knots. Quote
Super User webertime Posted April 29, 2013 Super User Posted April 29, 2013 Orivs Mirage (should be at most any fly shop) 0x sized Fluoro leader. The stuff is bomber in rocks and wood. Holds knots very well too. Tiny spools won't clutter up your bag too. Quote
Super User roadwarrior Posted April 29, 2013 Super User Posted April 29, 2013 For 30lb braid or heavier, I like Seaguar AbrazX #17. On lighter line, 20lb Tatsu. Quote
