BuckMaxx Posted April 28, 2013 Posted April 28, 2013 I noticed several guys wearing those hoodie things to protect you face/neck from the reflection and sun. I got my neck sunburned yesterday. So where do I get them and are they hot? Likes dislikes? Thanks Quote
RAMBLER Posted April 28, 2013 Posted April 28, 2013 I found them in Bass Pro, Cabelas, Gander Mountain and Academy Sports. Some call them Buffs. Look in online catalogs under fishing headgear. They are good protection from sun. Some will have protection ratings like other clothing and sun screen. When you get too warm, take it off and wet it (oh, put it back on). It will really cool you off, especially if there is a breeze. Quote

BassResource.com Administrator Glenn Posted April 28, 2013 BassResource.com Administrator Posted April 28, 2013 You can get a limited edition BassResource buff here: http://www.rayjus.com/bassresource/ Quote
TNBassin' Posted April 28, 2013 Posted April 28, 2013 Why not put some heavy duty sunscreen on? I agree. Looking like a terrorist while fishing isn't the smartest thing to do in my neck of the woods. 1 Quote
RAMBLER Posted April 28, 2013 Posted April 28, 2013 Why not put some heavy duty sunscreen on? I do that, too. I've already had some chunks cut out of me and I now go to, possibly, extremes to prevent more surgeries. Quote
flippin and pitchin Posted April 28, 2013 Posted April 28, 2013 Yes, it's a buff. They are multifacited. If you value your skin, get one. Quote
BrettD Posted April 28, 2013 Posted April 28, 2013 Why not put some heavy duty sunscreen on? The are more effective at blocking uv light then sunscreen and they actually keep you cooler by shading your skin. 1 Quote
JDUB Posted April 29, 2013 Posted April 29, 2013 I got an under armor one for $20 on amazon. Keeps me burn free and it's not hot at all. One thing I gotta do is wear my sunglasses off my face a little to keep them from fogging with it on. Quote
Basseditor Posted April 29, 2013 Posted April 29, 2013 Some brands have vented mouths. But my glasses still fog a little. I use several different ones. I am pleased with how well I feel after coming in at night. I don't feel any of the effects of the sun. Quote
