Packard Posted April 27, 2013 Posted April 27, 2013 Today was opening day of Catch and Release Bass Season here in the Lower Peninsula of Michigan (The real season doesn't open until May 25, stupid.... I know.) I went out on the kayaks with my dad for a 4 hour trip and had good results I caught four decent bass with the biggest being 3.5 lbs. He got one carp, one pike, and one bass. I took all of mine on a Rapala DT3 Flat while his were on a Spro Little John. The flat-sided crankbaits were key as these fish were just moving up into the shallows. The water temperature was 55 while the air temperature was 65. It was a perfect day to be on the water and it is great to be fishing again. Quote
