unageo09 Posted April 30, 2010 Posted April 30, 2010 I'm am looking for some good trailers for my strike king swim jig. Does anyone have any recommendations? Quote
hmongkidBee Posted April 30, 2010 Posted April 30, 2010 I like using zoom twin tail grubs. It has a lot of action. Quote
Super User Gone_Phishin Posted April 30, 2010 Super User Posted April 30, 2010 Something hand-poured, so it's soft and will impart a nice fluid action. These are on my list: http://www.***.com/Roboworm_Kickin_Craw/descpage-RWKC.html Quote
adclem Posted April 30, 2010 Posted April 30, 2010 I like the Kinami 3 and 4 inch single tail grubs. Later, Quote
backwater4 Posted April 30, 2010 Posted April 30, 2010 Definitely grubs. I like twin tails better, but singles also work well. Quote
bpNClgmouth Posted April 30, 2010 Posted April 30, 2010 Personally I like the Rage Craw. Either Black and blue to match the jig, or if I'm going for a brim or shad imitation I'll tip the ends of the pinchers with chartreuse JJ's. Quote
Uncle Leo Posted April 30, 2010 Posted April 30, 2010 I use either a Kalons 5 " Grub or a Rage Tail Craw. Quote
MSPbass Posted April 30, 2010 Posted April 30, 2010 Swim Senko. It's all I use. 4" pinched off a bit. Quote
BassThumb Posted April 30, 2010 Posted April 30, 2010 I use single and double tail grubs mostly, and also recycled 3 or 4" tail sections from chewed up Trick Worms and Swim Senkos. Quote
aarogb Posted May 1, 2010 Posted May 1, 2010 Usually a Strike King Rage Tail Craw or Lobster in a color that matches your jig. Quote
TN basstracker Posted May 1, 2010 Posted May 1, 2010 Rage Craw. RonDef smoked em on a swim jig with a Rage Baby Craw trailer today with me. Quote
Jack Handey Posted May 1, 2010 Posted May 1, 2010 Zoom 5" Fat Albert single tail grubs in colors that compliment the jig Quote
Catch22 Posted May 22, 2010 Posted May 22, 2010 I prefer paddletails with my swim jigs. My favorite is the Reaction Innovations 3.5 inch Little Dipper. I cut off the head (about the first 1/2 inch). This trailer gives the bait a nice side to side rolling action. I love the KVD swim jig bluegill color matched up with the Sprayed Grass color Little dipper. I have also used a 4 inch Swimming Senko but it doesn't have as much rolling action as the little dipper. Quote
rondef Posted May 22, 2010 Posted May 22, 2010 Three words: Baby Rage Craw Thes Baby Rage Craw pairs up perfectly with KVD swim jigs, I have been cleaning up with that combo almost any place I throw it. The Rage Tail baits match up well with the color of the swim jigs since they are both manufactured by Strike King. Quote
