I just recently picked up a spool of big game (12# clear). I previously only used trilene in clear/fluorescent blue in confidence but I also only used spinning rods. After making the change to baitcasters I'm hoping this big game works well. Just because its so affordable!

it should work, but it is very stiff line and has a lot of memory, making it like a coil spring compared to XL and other softer mono's.

Thanks for the info Capt.Bob! I'll post an update on my experience with it after my trip to the lake this weekend :)
