nhbassin Posted April 25, 2013 Posted April 25, 2013 I am going to gate 31 at the Quabbin on Monday and plan on renting a boat for the day. Has anyone fished it yet this season? Any smallmouth activity yet? What are the chances that I get a boat on a Monday morning if I show up at 6 a.m.? Thanks in advance. Quote
The one that got away Posted April 26, 2013 Posted April 26, 2013 I haven't been there in a few years, but from what I see on another local board the fish are becoming active, both lakers and smallies. With warm temps between now and Monday, the action should be there. And I'm guessing you should be alright with the rental since it's not a weekend. There's a couple of W.Mass members on this board who are on a first-name basis with most of the fish swimming around at the Q, so hopefully they will chime in with better info. 1 Quote
Will Wetline Posted April 26, 2013 Posted April 26, 2013 nhbassin, the post below is about my first trip to Quabbin this season: http://www.bassresource.com/bass-fishing-forums/topic/116998-cold-as-a-witchs-nose/ I was out for 10 hours today but my thoughts are too windblown to make a coherent post tonight. Look for "Rocking and Ripping on Quabbin" tomorrow. Weekdays you'll be fine renting a boat if you get to the gate at 6:00. 1 Quote
