I'm gonna be changing my current reels and want to know some info from owners/users of this reel. I like the components and the great reviews I see online, but want direct owners reviews.

I have one and it is an amazing spinning reel. Very light and has a very smooth drag system. The reel is very smooth on the retrieve and have not had any problems with it at all.

Ive got one. The smaller 9530 size which I use for drop shotting only. Awesome reel. Probably my favorite out of the ones that I have in the boat now. Ive got it loaded with 6 lb test, and brought in a 40 inch musky the other day on it no problem. Gave the drag a test and it performed flawlessly.

I did compare it to the stradic ci4 and it was considerably lighter and upon reeling feels much more connected, not "fluid" like the Shimanos. Now I am a diehard shimano guy, but these reels are worth it.

Also, I bought mine when Cabelas was having their employee pricing sale so I walked out with it (after tax) for 156 and change

I'm down to 1 spinning rod, and this is the reel I chose to keep. It's a swell little gem. I had a hard time choosing between this and my Daiwa Sol which I regret selling now, but the PP is outstanding. Get one

I had one. Actually I've had two. I had to take back my original because it felt extremely geary and not quite what I had wanted. The second one, while it was nice and smooth, the AR kept failing. Fixed the spring issue myself but it still wasn't up to what I usually use (stradics). The reel had a great drag and initially felt nice reeling but I ultimately took it back and just got a stradic.

Great reel. Super lightweight but a good performer. Smooth drag helped me catch many a fish... You won't regret picking one up

i have one in the 9530X size. i like it very much but, if you can believe it, it's TOO light...my favorite spinning setup balanced better with a 2-oz. heavier daiwa caldia.

by the way, i should mention that their sizes are a little wonky if you're used to shimano and daiwa sizing. i first got the 9535 based on the listed line capacity. when it arrived, i was surprised at how big it was. i was expecting it to be about the size of a daiwa 2000 or a shimano 2500 but it was bigger than both of those. i had to exchange it for the 9530.
