Super User KU_Bassmaster. Posted April 24, 2013 Super User Posted April 24, 2013 Anybody have any favorite boat-friendly place to stay at Table Rock? Quote
cbass12 Posted April 24, 2013 Posted April 24, 2013 Looking for a place on the water, or something in town away from the lake? Quote
Super User KU_Bassmaster. Posted April 24, 2013 Author Super User Posted April 24, 2013 It doesn't have to be on the water and would definitely like to stay away from Branson or crowds. Quote
cbass12 Posted April 24, 2013 Posted April 24, 2013 I like Mill Creek Resort. Its near Lampe a couple miles west of the Kimberling City Bridge. Nice place and prices aren't too bad. Quote
Quillback Posted April 25, 2013 Posted April 25, 2013 I haven't stayed here, but sure looks nice. The Babler's have an excellent reputation. http://www.whiteriverlodgebb.com/index.html Quote
Super User Fishes in trees Posted April 25, 2013 Super User Posted April 25, 2013 I used to stay at the Kimberling Inn, in Kimberling City when I went to Table Rock. Last year, a tornado smashed it. I don't know if they are open or not. I liked it because there was a boat ramp on property, gas less than a half mile away, restaurants very close, Grocery store across the highway and the prices seemed reasonable to me. Right up the road there was a place called the Cove, which was an OK place too. It was hard to get into, because they had many regulars who would reserve most of the rooms on tournament weeks. They had their own boat launch too, but it wasn't as nice or as accessible as the Kimberling Inn one. Quote
CKFishin Posted April 26, 2013 Posted April 26, 2013 I was there last weekend Stayed at Kimberling Inn and kept the boat at Whats up Dock Quote

cbass12 Posted April 27, 2013 Posted April 27, 2013 We owned Mill Creek Resort for a lot of years in the mid 80's. Great little resort. We were there last year for the first time for our week long vacation around the 4th of July. I was pretty impressed with it, and the owners were really nice people. If I go down there anytime for a fishing trip I will be staying there. Quote
BuckMaxx Posted April 27, 2013 Posted April 27, 2013 There is alot of memories there. I haven't been back in almost 20 years. I lost the biggest bass of my life about 300 yards west of the dock. In the back of Mill Creek. She was easily over 10 lbs. She rolled at the boat. My rod dropped at the same time my jaw did and she spit it. I also had my first run in with a ticked mama CottonMouth, right off the end of the dock. She chased me 30 yards, she was gaining before she gave up. I really think the screaming scared her off. We used to sit on the dock and listen to the concerts over the hill at what was then Swiss Villa. Good times!! Quote
Super User KU_Bassmaster. Posted May 10, 2013 Author Super User Posted May 10, 2013 Thanks for the recommendations all. I just got back and ended up staying at Mill Creek Resort. It was just about perfect. Next time I go back down there I will probably stay there again. Quote
