Congrats on the ladies!!

It's such a joy to get new stuff that you really like!   Like little dreams actually coming true.

You are on the road now......what's your next "dream" set up for the future?

Hahaha I'd likento try out the diawa zillion, a nice shimano... I want to try all the top brands.... and will eventually... gotta try em to know what your really like the best so for now... best I've used is my cousins pro max... but I gotts feeling that will change tomorrow when I use my revo sx. I hope anyways.

Other wise ill be trading it for another reel at the 159.99 range.

Edit: we are soon to gwt a bass pro shop in greenville which is near me or maybe its a cabelas... right now all we have are academys, dicks and gradys. So I can't wait for that!

Thanks ataris, they may not be what most people woulda got or top of the line stuff.. but especially the revo sx on that veritas, just feels like it was crafted just for my hands.. perfect to me... the max pro on a berkely lightening rod don't feel so bad either it feels pretty durn good too!

I can't see why anyone would be too harsh, you are on a budget and you stuck with it.  (Believe me I only was able to splurge because I sold some old solar panels that I couldn't use.)  Still have some available if anyone is interested!

I like the 2nd setup more than the 1st, it should serve you well!  The 1st is still serviceable and should be able to perform what you want to do.

Nice. I was looking at a promax myself to get me started. I take it you like it?

On a side note, wife's got family in Anderson, great area been there quite a few times. Hartwell is a nice lake.

Nice, yeah uses my cousins pro max andnloved it so got one and the reco sx can only be even better.. going fishin in a few hours so I'll have a report and pics hopefully of some catches! Lake heartwell is awesome.. stay away from the the spots people tell you to go though.. sure you might catch a fish or 2... but nothinf like finding your own special area tucked away that no one else fishes.

I realy like the two rod choices, I think you will be very happy with both of them. I think the lightning rod will supprise you with performance, and durability. The promax is a good reel for the price as well. the veritas and revo combo will be awesome as well.

Both of those combos should serve you well. My budget does not allow for high end gear, and I still manage to catch the occasional bass :thumbsup_blue: . Good equipment will make you better and is more fun to use, but it ain't required to be a good, or even great fisherman.
